Athy GFC
Founded in 1887, club colours are red and white. Home games are played at Geraldine Park Athy.
Athy have won seven Kildare senior football titles, the most recent of which came in 2020.
Athy GFC has provided many outstanding footballers, since itâs foundation in 1887, up to the present day who have represented Kildare at all grades and indeed several county board chairmen and Leinster council delegates. Players such as Tommy Mulhall, Mick Carolan, and Sean McGovern played with great distinction in the county colours. Michael Foley, who retired from inter county football in 2015, was a stalwart on the senior panel and in recent years has been joined by David Hyland and Niall Kelly and Darroch Mulhall.
