Cavan Champions 2013

A GAA club was formed in Ballinagh in 1888 and Ballinagh Erin's Hope appears to be the name affiliated in March 1889 as was Kilmore Rangers, a second club in the parish based in Drumcor. This club later joined with Tom Maroney's of Cornafean to form the new Naomh Fionnain Club. Ballinagh had limited success in it's formative years and won it's first trophy in 1913, the Junior Championship. Club colours are yellow and white.

The club have won three Cavan intermediate titles - 1979, 1992 and 2007 when the went on to win the Ulster Intermediate club title.

Ballinagh won the 2013 Cavan Senior County Championship. They beat Cavan Gaels 0-12 to 0-11 in the final.
