Heston Gaels GFC crest
Heston Gaels GFC

From its inception in 1982, Heston GFC has become one of the standard bearers of Gaelic football in the West London area.

The club was set up with the help of Aer Lingus people in the saloon bar of The Pope John Centre in January 1982 and was initially called Heston ALTs GFC (ALTs standing for Aer Lingus Teoranta). Amongst the founder members were Tommy Gleeson, Brendan Ryan, Ted Reilly, Jim Kenna, Damien Morris, Eamonn Mulvaney and Mrs V Donovan.

These people had the foresight to see that the creation of a new Gaelic football club in Heston would promote one of our national games in this area and give the multicultural community something to be proud of.
