Founded in 1933 the club is a member of the Derry GAA and currently cater for Gaelic football. The club is commonly called by the Irish language name for The Loup, An Lúb. Many Derry GAA followers still refer to the club as "The Loup". Club colours are green and white and home games are playes at the 'Meadows'.
Among the club's honours they have won three Derry Championships, firstly back in 1936 and more recently the 2009 Championship, when they also went on to win the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship after winning the Derry Senior Football Championship in 2003.
