Both hurling and Gaelic football are played in the "North-Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the town of Roscrea. The club's colours are red and white and they play at Páirc Naomh Cronáin (English- St. Cronan's Park).

The senior hurling team was one of the best in Tipperary and indeed Ireland in the 1970's. Roscrea won the first ever Club All Ireland in hurling in 1971.

The club has produced many fine hurlers down through the years. The most well known of recent times is John Carroll. John won an All Ireland with Tipperary in 2001 and also won an All Star in 2000.
