The club is based in the town of Strabane, County Tyrone. Club colours are light blue and navy and home games are played at Sigerson Park.

The first GAA club formed in Strabane was in 1902, however the club in it's present form became known as Strabane Sigersons in 1983. Prior to 1983 Strabane was represented by Strabane Lamh Dearg and Strabane Fag-a-Bealach. Fag-a-Bealach won the Tyrone senior championship of 1905-06. While Lamh Dearg were victorious in 1945.

In 1999 Strabane played senior football in Tyrone for the first time in over fifty years and in 2000 they progressed as far as the Tyrone semi final. Sigersons are still searching for their first senior championship win.
