Yorkshire Emeralds HC
Yorkshire Emeralds are the only hurling club in Leeds and represent the whole of Yorkshire. Yorkshire Emeralds was founded in 2010 by a small dedicated group of hurlers who were keen to play the game in Leeds. Leeds hurling clubs have been thin on the ground in recent years and there's not been a hurling club in Leeds in recent memory to cater to the needs of the many Irish people who would have played at home before moving to the area.
The club has players from the length and breadth of Ireland. Some of the counties represented are Kilkenny, Cork, Tipperary, Limerick, Waterford, Mayo, Armagh, Antrim, Meath, Donegal, Galway even Sheffield and Leeds. They are a very dedicated bunch with many players traveling from as far away as Hull, Sheffield and Chesterfield to attend training.
