Stefan Tobin, born in 2007 in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, is an emerging talent in Irish hurling. Educated at Carrick-on-Suir CBS, he honed his skills across all grades of hurling, including the Dr Harty Cup. At the club level, Tobin began his journey with Carrick Swans, progressing through juvenile and underage teams. In 2025, he secured a South Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship medal, contributing to a 117 to 015 victory over Killenaule in the final. Tobin's inter-county career commenced with Tipperary's minor team, where he played a pivotal role in the 2024 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship final, leading to a 217 to 312 win over Kilkenny. He advanced to the under-20 team, participating in the 2025 All-Ireland Under-20 Hurling Championship, culminating in another triumph over Kilkenny. In January 2026, Tobin debuted for the senior team in a National Hurling League match against Galway. He made his Championship debut on April 19, 2026, starting against Cork in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship. Off the field, Tobin is pursuing a career as an apprentice electrician.
